Center for Childhood Resilience – Learning and resources hub for childhood trauma, undocumented youth, mass violence, natural disasters, and bullying.   

ChildCare.gov – Child development and early learning resources for families.  Connects to Head Start, public pre-k programs, support for children with disabilities and parent education and support. 

Family Matters - Education resources for families with children with disabilities living in the home.  Workshops, videos, articles etc. 

Families and Work Institute – Resources and support for working families.  Resources for early education through adolescence. 

Illinois Association for Gifted Children – Advocate for the advances learning needs of all children, and particularly those who exhibit gifts and talents through a variety of expressions.  

Illinois Cares for Kids – Division of Illinois Department of Human Services to support and connect families to caregivers.  Resources for families on health and well-being. 

Illinois Early Learning Project – Evidence based, reliable information on early care and education for families, caregivers, and teachers of young children in Illinois. Videos, podcasts, articles and blogs. 

IL Department on Aging – Resources for grandparents raising grandchildren.   

Illinois School Psychologists Association – Resources for families on mental health, disabilities, learning standards, school laws, special education, and social emotional learning.  

Illinois State Board of Education Mental Health Resources – Crisis emergency response resources, educational resources and printable material. 

National Black Child Development Institute – Mobilize communities, shape systems, and ignite movements inspired by the organization’s essential outcomes: a shared vision for healthy births, safe learning, family stability, cultural affirmation, and joy as a measure of justice.    

National Community Reinvestment Coalition – Resources for grandparents raising grandchildren.   

Parents as Teachers – Birth through 5 support to increase parent knowledge of early childhood development; improve positive parenting practices; increase children’s school readiness and; improve family economic well-being. 

Positive Parenting Online – Resources for parenting; coaching; blogs; parenting classes.  Requires membership fee for some services but there are also resources for free.

St. Clair Country Regional Office of Education – Information on educational resources for K-12 families in St. Clair County. 

University of Illinois Chicago Dept. of Psychology – Research based resources on parenting, social emotional learning and school-family partnerships.
